Freshii inks deal for NY, Conn.

Freshii has announced the signing of a number of recent multi-unit deals, both national and international. The most recent agreement with EJB Ventures LLC, a company owned by Jonathan Blob and his wife Erica, is a 5-unit deal for the areas of Westchester County, N.Y., and Fairfield County, Conn., -- each about 30-60 minutes from New York City.

Jessica Curtis of Cushman & Wakefield has been engaged as the franchisee’s exclusive broker for the expansion into the market, evaluating sites for the first location, with no areas specifically targeted at this time; however, the franchisee plans to have the first store open, pending real estate selection, by late 2012.

Blob previously worked as a hedge fund portfolio manager in the consumer sector, where he specialized in restaurant investments.

The N.Y. and Conn., deal was signed through Freshii’s franchise development partner, Fransmart.
