Freshii expanding into Nashville, San Francisco

October 11, 2010

Freshii is planning for two new openings in key markets.  Most immediately, the fast casual chain will celebrate a grand opening in Nashville’s downtown district at 530 Church Street (near 6th Avenue) on Oct. 12th. Already creating a buzz in Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, and around the globe with its famed delicious, custom built menu, Freshii will be the first of its kind to open in the area. Showcasing sustainably grown ingredients in a chill, planet-friendly atmosphere, Freshii will celebrate in-store and in the surrounding area with delicious freebies and coupons throughout the day.
“We believe in the Freshii philosophy and are excited to bring Nashville a fresh and healthy alternative to traditional fast food. We will also offer local farmer's market retail goods, such as farm fresh eggs, baked goods, raw honeys, jams, and more,” said Daniel and Olivia McCarthy, Freshii Development Partners.
Plans are also underway for Freshii to open doors in San Francisco's Financial District.
"Freshii is ideal for the San Francisco Bay area - our food is made with only the freshest ingredients, which compliment the area's health conscious living,” said Wendy Kanno-Hendryx, Freshii - Development Partner, San Francisco. "I'm excited to be the first Freshii in the Bay area knowing that fresh food and eco-friendly products will be a hit with my community."
Freshii calls its model “fresh food, custom built.” The expanding chain claims a mission of green business practices and healthy, responsible eating. Freshiis operate without energy-devouring dishwashers, hoods, ranges and ovens; store sizes as modest as 150 sq. ft.; and packaging materials (bowls, straws, cutlery, fountain cups, etc.) made from eco-friendly vegetable starches.
