Freshii appoints Cosi veteran CFO

Freshii has announced the appointment of Maggie Martensen as chief financial officer. Martensen is the former controller of Così Inc. During her tenure at Così, Martensen was responsible for all financial reporting and accounting functions, including all SEC reporting. "We are thrilled to have Maggie join our team at this critical stage in our growth. Her industry experience is superior and passion for our brand is exciting. Maggie's contributions will support and fuel our strategy of dual growth of both franchise and company-owned restaurants," said Matthew Corrin, Freshii founder & CEO. Prior to joining Così, Martensen developed her financial expertise through several roles including director of finance and director of financial reporting for Near North National Group, a national insurance brokerage and risk management firm. She also was a controller for La Strada Inc., a restaurant company in Chicago that operated several restaurant concepts, including fine dining, casual dining and banquet facilities. "Freshii is an exciting and dynamic brand, which I believe will be become an iconic image for fresh food and healthy dining options. I am delighted to join the Freshii team and look forward to having my expertise and background help to further develop this dynamic concept," she said.
