Freshii giving fans 'something to taco-bout'

Canada-based Freshii is now serving tacos using healthy ingredients for which the brand is known, according to a company press release. Each recipe is served with a house-made salsa verde, and in Canada features a cauliflower-based soft-shell tortilla. Options include:

• Street Corn Chicken, featuring Freshii's Street Corn Salad and salsa verde, topped with avocado and cabbage.
• Tofriito, a vegetarian Taco with tofu and southwestern flavors, drizzled with house-made avocado crema.
• Chipotle Pulled Chicken, which is smoky chipotle chicken mixed with black beans and aged cheddar.
• Steak + Queso with sliced steak and Greek yogurt.

"We're excited for customers to try Freshii Tacos," Veronica Castillo, Freshii VP of Marketing, said in the release. "Our consumers love Mexican-inspired menu items, which are some of our best-sellers. Freshii Tacos is our biggest innovation to date and shows that we're listening to our customers and expanding our offerings in fun and exciting ways."

Since founded in 2005, Freshii has opened 401 restaurants in 15 countries and has expanded its CPG lineup across hundreds of major retailer points of distribution and now offers nutritional supplement products in-store and directly to consumers via its online retail site.
