Beautiful Brands International has announced the grand opening of its first FreshBerry Frozen Yogurt Café in Orlando, Fla. The new store is located near the University of Central Florida and Highway 417. To mark its grand opening, FreshBerry will be offering every guest a free regular frozen yogurt with one topping all day Wednesday, while supplies last.
FreshBerry's menu features all natural frozen yogurt selections with toppings ranging from strawberry, blueberry, raspberry and other fruits, to Fruity Pebbles cereal, granola, toasted almonds, coconut and chocolate chips. FreshBerry stores also feature a smoothie bar, yogurt by the pint or quart, and FreshPops.
"It's a simple concept with a big future in Orlando," said Ricardo Barillas, the Orlando-area FreshBerry licensed franchisee. "I believe FreshBerry will provide a great escape for students in the area as well as business people who will flock to our store for the fabulous FreshBerry taste and welcoming atmosphere. It's also a great getaway for moms after school."
The FreshBerry concept was created by Beautiful Brands International president and founder, David Rutkauskas, and his wife, Camille. The first FreshBerry café opened in January 2008 in Tulsa, Okla. Today, there are 20 FreshBerry Frozen Yogurt Cafés open and more than 980 units in development in Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, South Carolina, California, Arizona, New York, Nevada, Florida, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Egypt.
"Orlando offers the perfect market niche for FreshBerry because of the active and healthy lifestyles of the people who live there," Rutkauskas said. "I see a huge opportunity for us to increase our market presence in Florida as we continue developing our strategy for becoming one of the fastest growing retailers of delicious, all-natural frozen yogurt in the nation."
