The Fresh Stack Burger Co concept, a collaboration from Sean Thomas and Chef Fabio Viviani, is up and running in its first location, in suburban Chicago, and will feature a a drive-thru option given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Thomas is the grandson of Wendy's founder Dave Thomas and Viviani is a Top Chef Food Network fan favorite. The fast casual brand officially opened May 11 at 20413 N Rand Road in Kildeer Village Square, according to a press release. The concept is run by Fare Concepts and Fabio Viviani Hospitality Group.
Due to the coronavirus it is open for carry out and delivery given the state's stay-at-home mandate and it will be opening a pop up drive through in its first week, according to the release.
The restaurant's scratch kitchen uses ultra-fresh ingredients in signature burgers and every one of their menu items. The restaurant's interior is a mix of modern and Midwest design and the 3,000 square-foot layout features a four-season patio, bar seating, and local culture.
"We were founded on the values championed by my grandfather," said Thomas in the release. "His legacy is one of making the ordinary extraordinary by implementing powerfully simple ideas that change consumer expectations. Our goal is to create memorable experiences within a fast-casual environment. by reimagining today's fast casual vibe and a menu that includes super-fresh, chef-driven crave-able food."
