Freebirds World Burrito will open its newest location next week in Lewisville, Texas, which will feature updates in its design. The unveiling signifies an important milestone for Freebirds, which will incorporate this new look in all future restaurant openings, according to a company press release.
Freebirds’ updated design pairs modern industrial style with a farmhouse aesthetic, by incorporating materials like reclaimed wood, exposed brick and cold rolled steel while creating a warm and welcoming, well-lit environment. Guests can now see every step that goes into creating a personalized, great-tasting meal, from the chopping of vegetables to the grilling of chicken and steak with the new open kitchen design, said Freebirds Chief Operating Officer Bobby Shaw
“Guests will still be able to customize their made-to-order Mexican-inspired meals – that will never change. We felt it was the right time to refresh our design with new technology and an updated look, while our passion for people and food remains the same,” he said.
Freebirds has also upped its technology game by including digital menu boards that feature a modern and dynamic way to display food imagery. The Freebirds staff (known as The Tribe) will have the ability to complete guests’ credit card payment while they are standing in line via digital tablets to ensure a quick flow and speed up service. Passionate about music since the brand started in 1987, the new space will feature a new and exciting updated playlist playing on a premium sound systems, Shaw said.
Freebirds has nearly 100 locations across seven western states, including Texas, California, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Utah, with plans to enter into the Nashville market in 2016.
