Freebirds opening in Katy, Texas

Freebirds World Burrito will boast its 56th location this winter when it opens a store in Katy, Texas, at the corner of Falcon Landing Boulevard and Gaston Road.

The Texas-based chain, which will hire over 30 employees for the Katy location, is doubling the number of locations over the next five years by focusing on Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, according to a press release. The brand also has openings in the pipeline in Kingwood, Spring and Dripping Springs.

With a slated 20% growth rate year-over-year, Freebirds hopes to solidify its position as Texas' second-largest burrito chain, according to the release.
