Freebirds flying into northeast Houston this fall

Freebirds World Burrito, a fast casual restaurant serving customizable burritos, bowls, grilled meats and salads, will open in the Kingwood community in northeast Houston in September, according to a company press release.

This location, at 3112 W. Lake Houston Parkway, next to H-E-B Pharmacy, will add to Freebirds' 55 locations in Texas.

Freebirds is looking to hire over 30 employees, known as Tribe members, at the Kingwood restaurant.

Freebirds' Kingwood will hold a public grand opening celebration with free samples and special opening promotions on a date to be announced soon.

Freebirds plans to double its number of locations in Texas over the next five years. The main areas of expansion will be across Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, though the growth will see locations open across the state, according to the release.

At Freebirds, burritos and bowls are customizable and personalized with signature ingredients, including meat, guacamole, legendary Queso Blanco and other options. Created in Texas in 1987 with headquarters in Austin, Freebirds has over 50 locations throughout the state.
