FREEBIRDS expands in Missouri, Kansas

FREEBIRDS World Burrito is spreading its mojo deeper into the Midwest with a new franchisee location opening Oct. 25 in Kansas City, Mo., and three others coming to the region within the next four months. Those locations will open in Lee's Summit, Mo.; Lawrence, Kan.; and Overland Park, Kan.

Currently, the company is celebrating its FREEBIRDS World Works Breast Cancer Awareness Month. So far, customers have donated more than 7,000 points (700 burritos) to the cause. Their stories can be found online. The chain kicked off Pink Week, with all locations decorated in the movement's signature color, on Oct. 22.
