FREEBIRDS donating to food banks

FREEBIRDS World Burrito hand delivered more than 800 meals to local food banks as a result of its "Feed Little Bellies" campaign.

The meals were donated through the FREEBIRDS World Works program. During June, FREEBIRDS launched a program called "Feed Little Bellies" where FREEBIRDS guests (called Fanatics) donated Fanatic Reward points that they earned by purchasing meals at any FREEBIRDS restaurant. Those points went toward free meals that were donated in the form of gift cards to local foodbanks including:

• Capital Area Food Bank (Austin, Texas)
• FOOD Share (Los Angeles)
• Harvesters (Kansas City, Mo.)
• Houston Food Bank
• Sacramento Food Bank
• San Antonio Food Bank
• Tarrant Area Food Bank (Fort Worth, Texas)

"Our Fanatics are passionate about truly helping people in the communities where they live," said FREEBIRDS' World Works Director Annette Beavers. "We're thrilled to be able to do a small part to help feed the body and soul of children in need across the country."
