Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers announced today a partnership awarding name, image and likeness deals to 10 collegiate athletes in Kansas, Georgia, Texas and Colorado. Freddy's will partner with the athletes to share their menu favorites on social media channels and the brand's website.

"What makes Freddy's so great is that it's a chill, homey, old-school vibe," Alton McCaskill, a University of Colorado running back, said in a company press release. "The burgers taste fresh and real, and the custard is always good with really great flavors."

Freddy's is showcasing male and female collegiate athletes excelling in football, soccer and volleyball. While some of the athletes are new to the growing brand, others frequented the restaurant throughout their childhoods.

"I wanted to partner with Freddy's because it's a place that was right by my house, and I grew up eating it with friends, so I thought it would be a really cool opportunity," Emma Halter, a libero for the University of Texas Libero.

The Freddy's Collegiate Athlete Partnership is comprised of the following students:

  1. Will Howard, Kansas State University, Quarterback.
  2. Shane Porter, Kansas State University, Wide Receiver.
  3. Kenny Logan, University of Kansas, Safety.
  4. Ladd McConkey, University of Georgia, Wide Receiver.
  5. Jordan Brown, University of Georgia, Goalkeeper.
  6. Emma Halter, University of Texas, Libero.
  7. Bella Bergmark, University of Texas, Middle Blocker.
  8. Blake Shapen, Baylor University, Quarterback.
  9. Alton McCaskill, University of Colorado, Running Back.
  10. Jahdae Barron, University of Texas, Defensive Back.

Freddy's has nearly 490 locations in 36 states nationwide.
