Franchisee Jason Langnes to open 3 new McAlister’s locations in Mississippi

Kingdom Foods has signed a deal with McAlister’s Deli to open three new locations in Mississippi.

Jason Langnes, a Mississippi native, is bringing McAlister’s Deli to his homestate, according to a recent press release. The fast casual chain announced the signing  of the expansion deal with with Langnes’ company Kingdom Foods to bring three new restaurants to Southern Mississippi, with one in the Legacy Plaza in Wiggins, Mississippi.

"I first went to a McAlister’s in Hattiesburg in the early 1990s. From then on, I was hooked," Langnes said in the release. "I like being an owner of McAlister’s because I believe in and love the concept. I like the people, not only the corporate team at McAlister’s restaurant support center, but also our guests. I like providing the genuine hospitality we’re known for to each individual person."

Kingdom LLC’s Houston restaurants were acquired by McAlister’s franchisee Southwest Concepts, which signed a development deal last year with McAlister’s calling for 10 additional restaurants in Houston, according to the report.

"A significant piece of McAlister’s growth can be attributed to existing franchisees, which tells us that, as a brand, we are doing something right,"  McAlister’s VP of Franchise Development Jeff Sturgis said. "Jason has been a successful franchisee for 10 years and we’re thrilled that Southwest Concepts, which joined the brand late lst year, already has shown immense passion for McAlister’s and helping us grow."
