Gong cha, a global global bubble tea brand, hired Michael Nedelkovich Jr. as vice president of U.S. non-traditional franchise development.

Nedelkovich, an industry veteran with over15 years in franchising, will spearhead Gong cha's expansion into high-traffic locations such as airports, colleges, casinos and amusement parks. The company operates over 240 U.S. locations and nearly 2,200 worldwide.

"These venues not only provide high visibility, but also allow us to tap into daily routines and impulse-driven purchase behaviors," Nedelkovich said in a company press release. "Strategically, they offer scalable, multi-unit growth potential in environments where consumer demand for innovative beverage options continues to rise."

Geoff Henry, president of Gong cha Americas, highlighted Nedelkovich's comprehensive experience.

"Michael brings a rare 360-degree perspective, having served as a landlord, tenant, and brand operator," said in the release. "His leadership and deep relationships in the non-traditional space will be instrumental as we expand our footprint into new formats and reach new customers across the U.S. and beyond."

Nedelkovich previously served as director of non-traditional franchise development at Go To Foods (formerly Focus Brands), where he secured over 120 site-specific locations for brands including Auntie Anne's and Cinnabon. He also held leadership roles at Areas USA and Fraport USA, overseeing brand development and food and beverage concessions in major U.S. airports.
