Former Caribou Coffee CEO joins Boardwalk Burgers & Fries

Michael J. Coles, former chairman & CEO of Caribou Coffee, has joined a group of investors involved with Boardwalk Fresh Burger and Fries, which will open the first of 50 new restaurants in February in Sandy Springs, Ga. (Atlanta metro). Coles also is the founder of Great American Cookie Co.
"We couldn't be happier to have an industry veteran like Michael Coles involved with our concept,"David DiFerdinando, Boardwalk's CEO, said in a news release. "This is clearly a sign that we are doing things right. I'm excited to see our brand develop in Georgia with Michael's guidance."
