Flame Broiler adds to California store count

Flame Broiler, which serves healthy rice bowls, is opening Oct. 14 in Bakersfield, California. 

"I personally enjoy the simplicity of the menu and the vision of serving a healthier cuisine to promote a healthier lifestyle for not just our community, but for all," Franchisee Christopher Arana, said in the release. "It's wonderful to be able to provide a restaurant that encourages consumers to make better decisions when it comes to their health."

Flame Broiler's core menu features rice bowls that start at 140 calories and are made with non-GMO white or brown rice, Angus beef, all-natural chicken or organic charbroiled tofu, blanched vegetables and topped with chopped green onions.

Founded in 1995, Flame Broiler has nearly 200 restaurants throughout California, Nevada, Arizona, Oklahoma, Idaho, Florida and North Carolina.
