Five Guys International is leveraging an integration, created by Deliverect and Flybuy, to provide restaurants with smarter and faster handling of customer and delivery orders. Flybuy, a company specializing in AI-powered location technology, and Deliverect, a global food tech platform, have partnered to allow restaurants to receive real-time updates on both customer and third-party delivery orders. This visibility aims to reduce wait times and ensure food is prepared and handed off right when drivers or customers arrive.
"At Five Guys International, we're always looking for innovative ways to improve the guest experience," Sander Tinholt, senior director of IT at Five Guys International, said in a company press release. "By connecting Deliverect and Flybuy, we gain real-time insight into order timing and customer arrival, allowing our teams to deliver hot, fresh food right when it's needed. It's a big step forward in operational efficiency and guest satisfaction."
The first phase of the integration focuses on order updates flowing into Flybuy. Future plans include a two-way connection, with Flybuy sending customer event updates, such as "En Route" and "Arrived" statuses, back to Deliverect's dashboard.
Flybuy CEO and Co-Founder Marc Wallace said the partnership optimizes the entire customer journey.
"By connecting Flybuy's real-time location technology with Deliverect's order management system, we're giving restaurants the tools they need to deliver food faster, fresher and with less friction," Wallace said.
Zhong Xu, CEO of Deliverect, said the partnership supports a shared goal of helping restaurants increase efficiency and reduce crowding.
Flybuy's AI-driven location engine is used in more than 30,000 locations worldwide. Deliverect connects online ordering channels directly to in-store operations for more than 70,000 restaurant locations globally.
