Five Guys makes CSPI list of unhealthy restaurant meals

May 27, 2010

The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) has released its annual list of the most unhealthy meals available at U.S. chain restaurants. At the top of the list is Cheesecake Factory's Pasta Carbonara, weighing in at 2,350 calories per order. Five Guys was on the list for its cheeseburger, which has 920 calories. It was the only menu item listed for under 1,000 calories.

Michael Donohue, chief spokesman for the National Restaurant Association, said despite the list, there are many more healthy options available today than in the past. "Certainly there are indulgent items on menus, but there are more diet-conscious items on menus than ever before, and our customers know it," he told RTT News in a statement.
