Five Guys Burgers and Fries has continued to hone its growth strategy, with plans to open new stores in San Jose, Calif. and East Lansing, Mich.
The Virginia-based burger chain, which opened in 2003, includes a line-up of 15 toppings to choose from, as well as regular or Cajun steak fries.
The San Jose restaurant is Five Guys' first in the Santa Clara Valley, according to the San Jose Mercury News.
R & N Management owns the Five Guys rights in Santa Clara, and plans to open about 20 more restaurants within the next seven years.
Also, a franchise location of Five Guys will open in September in East Lansing, Mich., near the campus of Michigan State University, according to the State News.
