Firewürst adds Certified Angus Beef hot dog, gluten-free bun to the menu

July 2, 2014

Firewürst is expanding its menu a new Certified Angus Beef hot dog, a gluten-free bun option and several vegetarian items.

“Since our inception in 2012, we have been committed to serving the highest quality and nutritious food to our customers,” CEO Bill Morgenstern said in a news release. “We are excited to announce more offerings, such as the highest quality all-beef hot dog that can be found in the Research Triangle region along with an extended menu that will offer vegetarian alternatives to a broader, health conscious customer base. As part of our efforts to cater to customers’ wide variety of diet restrictions and favorite foods across all of our restaurants, we hope they will be pleased with the changes we are making.”

Vegetarian options include:

  • The Bombay sandwich features a vegetarian apple-sage sausage, potatoes, tomatoes, fresh peppers, coriander mint chutney and cheddar cheese on a Panini-grilled sourdough bread. Priced at $5.99.
  • The Veggie hot dog is priced at 3.99.
  • The Veggie sausage is a flame-grilled vegetarian version of Firewürst’s sausage, packed with Yukon Gold potatoes, apples and sage, for $4.99.

Firewürst’s new CAB hot dog and vegetarian line are available at all three of its Triangle locations: 1377 Kildaire Farm Road in Cary, N.C., next to Trader Joe’s; 1823 N. Harrison Ave. in Cary, next to Bass Pro Shops; and 8531 Brier Creek Parkway in Raleigh, next to Regal Brier Creek Stadium 14.
