Firehouse Subs to add 26 Fla. locations
April 15, 2008
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Firehouse Subs has announced plans for its expansion into Miami-Dade County and as far south as Key West.
The introduction of the Firehouse Subs brand into these new markets is part of a deal that will bring 26 Firehouse Subs franchises to the area over the next five years.
Leading the way is 19-year restaurant veteran Ted Tallman. As area representative for the new territory, Tallman will be responsible for selling individual locations to franchisees. The franchisees, who typically operate one to five restaurants, will oversee day-to-day operations.
With the acquisition of the Miami-Dade and Key West markets, Tallman expands his current territory, which consists of 61 Firehouse Subs restaurants in Florida, located from Fort Pierce to Broward County. At the conclusion of the expansion, a total of 87 stores will be open from Fort Pierce to Key West.
Prior to joining Firehouse Subs, Tallman was the district manager for CiCi's Pizza in the state of Florida. He also served as a manager with the Buckhead Life Restaurant Group and operated several independent restaurants in Atlanta.
