In an effort to fill 12,000 jobs, Jacksonville, Florida-based Firehouse Subs is hosting a nationwide hiring event this week. From 2 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, job seekers may stop by their local Firehouse to interview for full- or part-time positions.

"Our brand is lucky to be in a position where we can expand our restaurant teams and create opportunities within our local communities during these challenging times," Don Fox, Firehouse Subs CEO said in a company press release. "Our restaurant owners are passionate about heartfelt service and hearty, flavorful food, and we're excited to welcome new team members who share those values."

Firehouse Subs, which has 1,200 locations, offers its team members competitive wages, discounts on subs and growth opportunities, Fox said. In regard to safety for both guests and employees, all restaurants have implemented additional cleaning protocols and procedures following CDC guidelines. On-site interviews will be conducted following local and state COVID-19 safety protocols and outdoor interviews will be conducted based on restaurant location.

Firehouse Subs was founded in 1994 by brothers and former firefighters Chris Sorensen and Robin Sorensen. The brand has 1,195 restaurants in 46 states, Puerto Rico, Canada and non-traditional locations.
