Firehouse Subs launches fire safety campaign

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation is calling on the public during October to help improve the life-saving capabilities of firefighters, police officers and medical emergency personnel across the U.S.
 
The foundation will kick off the Fire Safety Campaign pn Oct. 1 to raise funds for local emergency services.The promotion coincides with October's National Fire Safety Month and will run through Oct. 27.
 
The first 500 Firehouse Subs customers during the promotion will be given a fire safety tips card with the purchase of a sub.In conjunction with the fire safety tips, contributions can be made at any Firehouse Subs restaurant by donating $1 to the purchase of a Maltese cross, which will be signed with the donor's name and become a mural of support to those who serve and protect.
 
Since its creation in 2005, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has raised more than $100,000 for the Charleston Fireman's Fund in response to the city's tragic June 18 fire.
