Fired Pie takes a dip in the Mediterranean

Fired Pie is crossing borders and cultures with its new mashup menu item: the gyro hero pizza. The brand said the 11-inch pie combines the flavors of Greece and Italy to satisfy the gyro-lover who still wants a pie, according to a news release. 

The Gyro Hero Pizza toppings include tzatziki sauce, feta and mozzarella cheese, "gyro meat," diced tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions and kalamata olives. The brand also introduced a Mediterranean Salad with lettuce, red onions, kalamata olives, roasted artichoke hearts and sundried tomatoes, to underscore its current Mediterranean mood. 

Fired Pie now has 21 Arizona locations.
