Finagle Bakery Café rolls out new prototype
November 18, 2008
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — In an effort to broaden its customer base and fuel sales growth, Boston-based Finagle A Bagel has repositioned its brand and launched a new prototype restaurant.
The 20-unit chain's new prototype, dubbed Finagle Bakery Cafe, reflects Finagle's repositioning from a bagel quick-service restaurant to a fast casual bakery café. Finagle plans to test the new prototype and then apply the new design to all current and future locations.
The company opened its first location in the early 1990's in Boston. Over the past several years Finagle has retooled its menu to include a variety of higher margin lunch and dinner menu items in addition to its signature bagels.
Finagle worked with Westport, Conn.-based retail design firm King-Casey to develop the new prototype.
