Fazoli's adds cavatappi LTO

Signature Cheddar Alfredo Bakes mark the first time Fazoli's has featured cavatappi pasta in a menu item.

Fazoli's is adding three Signature Cheddar Alfredo Bakes to its menu for a limited time at participating locations. All three items are priced at $6.99 and will be available through Jan. 4.

This marks the first time Fazoli's has offered cavatappi, a spiral shaped pasta native to southern Italy, on its menu.

All three Signature Cheddar Alfredo Bakes feature cavatappi pasta, cheddar cheese sauce, Alfredo sauce, bruschetta tomatoes, shredded cheddar, mozzarella and provolone cheeses, plus the following:

• Italian Supreme Cheddar Alfredo Bake includes meatballs and Italian sausage.
• Classic Cheddar Alfredo Bake with Beef and Bacon adds beef and bacon pieces.
• Broccoli Cheddar Alfredo Bake with Chicken features diced chicken tenders and seasoned broccoli.

"Today's diners demand more than the typical pasta dishes found on many Italian chain menus," CEO Carl Howard said in a company press release. "With the addition of our special cavatappi pasta, we're offering our guests another innovative, indulgent, premium product with distinctive flavor profiles at a price far below what they'd find anywhere else."
