Farmer Boys, based in Southern California, is celebrating the opening of its Thousand Oaks, California, location Sept. 25-27 with $4 Breakfast Burritos and $3 Big Cheeseburgers. Guests will also receive a scratcher with each purchase during the grand opening weekend for a chance to win prizes including discounts and free food, according to a company press release. Three individuals will win free Farmer Boys food for a year, and the ccelebration culminates with a family friendly drive-in movie at 7 p.m., Sept. 27.
"Our guests have been very supportive of Farmer Boys ever since we opened earlier this year, and I know they have been anxiously awaiting our Grand Opening event," Farmer Boys franchisee Omar Mawas said in the release. "We are thrilled to be able to celebrate with the Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park communities and provide a safe, distanced and family-friendly atmosphere for them to enjoy."
Mawas has been a franchise partner for many years, according to Larry Rusinko, Farmer Boys vice president and chief marketing officer, who said the Thousand Oaks unit is the brand's first in Ventura County.
"The overwhelmingly positive response from the community validates our decision to expand to the area and award Omar the franchise to introduce Farmer Boys' farm fresh philosophy to new consumers," he said in the release.
Farmer Boys opened in 1981.
