Farmer Boys announced today that Kenny Hom will join the company as vice president of Operations and Kevin Kelly, formerly VP of Operations, will take on the newly created role of vice president of Development.

"With our focus on growth, Farmer Boys needs a VP of Development," said President/COO Ken Clark in a company press release. "Since Kevin has been involved in the process of opening new restaurants, restaurant remodels and new prototype development, he was the perfect candidate to fill this important role. This created an opening for a VP of Operations."

As the VP of Operations, Hom will be responsible for both company and franchise restaurant operations. Hom will also play a key role in defining the strategic direction for Farmer Boys and will oversee its execution in the field.

As part of his training, Hom is spending two months in Farmer Boys restaurants.

"Farmer Boys is known for its superior products. A lot of work goes into the scratch preparation and made to order cooking process. Hospitality is also a key element of the brand. I am eager to learn the current processes and continue to provide an enjoyable experience for customers and employees alike," said Hom in the release.

Hom previously held leadership positions with Red Robin International, Islands Restaurants and California Pizza Kitchen.
