Farm Burger launches 'Furlough Fridays' freebie for federal workers

Atlanta-based Farm Burger is offering free meals in its 11 locations to furloughed federal employees every Friday until the government shutdown ends. The promo, Furlough Fridays, includes a free chicken burger, fries and an iced tea to federal government employees who show their valid IDs, Co-founder and CEO Jason Mann said in an email to FastCasual

"Farm Burger wants to offer a small gesture of support and say thank you to federal employees for their service," he said. "If we can provide a free meal and an enjoyable experience while they are out of work, that just might make their Friday a little bit brighter."
