ezCater, a food tech platform for workplaces, has launched self-serve features for its employee meal program, Relish by ezCater. The updates aim to provide organizations with greater control and flexibility in managing their workplace meal programs.
"Today's workplaces require adaptable solutions, especially with the rise of hybrid work models," Cindy Klein Roche, chief growth officer at ezCater, said in a company press release. "Our new Relish features are about giving organizations the power to create a flexible meal program that truly works for them."
Relish offers recurring, individually packaged meals from local restaurants directly to employee teams. The program is designed to scale with fluctuating headcounts, providing an adaptable alternative to traditional corporate cafeterias. Organizations set a meal subsidy and schedule, and employees order their own meals online or through the Relish app from a rotating selection of restaurants. ezCater handles the logistics.
The features allow office and facility managers to further customize meal programs, including:
The enhancements come as employee meal programs are gaining popularity. A recent ezCater survey indicated that 43% of companies now have a recurring meal program, a 17% increase from 2024. Companies such as NorthPoint Development, Stax and SeatGeek have incorporated these programs into their benefits to help boost on-site attendance and employee engagement.
"Relish has helped Stax simplify the in-office experience while making it easier to get people excited about coming in," Natalie Rosenthal, executive assistant at Stax, said in the release. "Our people are happy to sit together, share a meal, and discover a new restaurant."
