'State of the Industry' to headline Restaurant Franchising & Innovation Summit

While President Barack Obama gears up to deliver his last State of the Union address tonight, restaurant indusry experts are preparing to deliver the State of the Restaurant Industry at this year's Restaurant Franchising & Innovation Summit, March 29-31 in Dallas.

Operating a restaurant brand is always a challenge, but it's even more true these days as consumers aren't the only people making demands, said Cherryh Cansler, managing editor of FastCasual.com and the host of the summit. 

"The government is also weighing in on a variety of issues, whether it's regulating food safety or raising the minimum wage, for example," she said. "No restaurant brand is immune to the volatility of the industry or to the challenges of meeting consumer needs while trying to turn a profit," she said. "This session should help them predict what's coming ahead and give them tips on how to adjust."
