Everytable, which has a mission to make fresh food accessible and affordable for all, is opening the first of three Long Beach storefronts Monday in California's Aero Long Beach, a 50-acre business park near the area's airport. The Los Angeles-based chain has also signed leases at 421 W. Broadway and 1001 E. Pacific Coast Highway.

The grab-and-go storefront will feature nutritious and affordable meals including bowls, salads, wraps, snacks and beverages including cold-pressed juices, with prices starting at $5, according to a company press release.

This storefront will also offer Everytable's full-service coffee program featuring Crenshaw Coffee in partnership with Los Angeles-based Hot & Cool Cafe. Guests may also order from the chain's subscription program and either pick up their meals at the Aero Long Beach location or have their meals delivered to their home each week.

"This first storefront in Long Beach is an important milestone for Everytable and one that represents the beginning of our expansion throughout Southern California in 2021," Everytable CEO Sam Polk said in the release. "Now more than ever, as food insecurity and food deserts persist throughout the country, fresh and nutritious food must be made affordable for everyone. America's farms have the capacity to produce more than enough food, but we must reinvent our country's food system so anybody has access to the food they need to survive and thrive."

Everytable will open 20 locations this year, expanding beyond its current footprint in Los Angeles County into the Inland Empire and Orange County.

The chain also recently launched a Social Equity Franchise program to foster economic empowerment among entrepreneurs from marginalized communities. Serving as a model approach to franchising, a system largely devoid of diversity and representation by people of color, the program will provide critical access to capital for qualifying graduates, plus in-depth, hands-on training to empower and prepare disenfranchised entrepreneurs to open Everytable restaurants in their own communities, Polk said.

The Long Beach storefront will eventually go to a franchisee candidate who has progressed through Everytable University, a no-cost, six-to-12-month management training program that provides candidates with the education they need to successfully own and operate their own Everytable.

Founded in 2016, Everytable is a multi-channel, fresh-prepared food business blending grab-and-go storefronts, subscriptions, SmartFridges and institutional foodservice supplied by a central kitchen with meals priced according to the neighborhood.
