Epson launching tech to simplify restaurant operations

With restaurants looking to optimize in-house operations and increase customer satisfaction, global technology provider Epson is highlighting several hospitality technology solutions, including a point-of-sale solution, kitchen display system and labeling solutions.

Each is designed to deliver high performance, reliability and speed, helping high-traffic restaurants reduce labor costs and boost operational efficiency with modern, customizable technology, according to Ian Livesay, product manager, business systems division, Epson America.

"Attracting new clientele and improving current customer experiences continues to be at the forefront of concern for many food service professionals looking to keep a competitive edge," he said in a press release. "The ability to offer various dining experiences while maintaining kitchen efficiency and ordering accuracy is crucial for those researching new technologies to adopt."

The following solutions will be on display at Epson's booth, 7061 in North Hall D, during the National Restaurant Association event being held May 17-19 in Chicago.

• TrueOrder KDS, which digitizes restaurant workflows from meal preparation to order delivery, will demonstrate how a KDS integrated with an interactive kiosk (featuring an Epson receipt printer) and solutions from Elo, Logic Controls, MicroTouch and Kitchen Armor, may simplify the order fulfillment process.
• TM-U220II kitchen and receipt impact printer, which is engineered for exceptional performance and fast, high-quality output.
• OmniLink mSeries offers versatile connectivity and supports traditional POS systems, mPOS systems and cloud-based POS systems.
• Self-ordering and self-checkout kiosk. Attendees may demo the compact and kiosk-friendly printer TM-m30III housed in the Touch Dynamic self-service kiosk.
• ColorWorks color label printers.
• Wireless, wearable portable printers.
• OmniLink liner-free thermal label printers.
