Epic Burger to open fourth location

September 21, 2011

Epic Burger is launching its fourth location Sept. 26, three years after opening the inaugural location in Chicago's South Loop neighborhood in May 2008.

A second location in Lincoln Park launched in June 2010, and its third location in the West Loop opened this past summer. The fourth is set to open inside Chicago's Old Orchard Mall.

Epic's menu includes burgers with 100 percent, all-natural, never frozen, hand-packed beef and turkey burgers, all-natural chicken breasts and portabella mushroom sandwiches, cooked fresh to order and topped with Epic sauce, lettuce, tomato, pickle and grilled or raw onion.

Customers can also choose from toppings that include cage-free organic fried eggs, nitrate free bacon, all-natural Wisconsin cheeses, one-year aged cheddar, and buttermilk, blue, or horseradish havarti. Epic Burger buns are baked fresh daily and contain no preservatives or artificial ingredients. Fries are made with fresh, hand cut potatoes, cooked with zero trans fats and seasoned with pure sea salt. The menu features shakes and smoothies made with all natural ice cream and fat-free frozen yogurt.

Though the menu will stay intact, the newest location will feature some modifications to better represent its new home.

"The newest Epic Burger is our first mall location, it is located on the exterior perimeter of the mall, where guests can dine al fresco overlooking landscaped gardens, and the mall's family center," said Epic's Founder David Friedman.

Similar to the other Epic Burger locations, the mall location will feature a soft color palette and remain environmentally conscious by using Energy Star rated equipment and no petroleum-based packaging.
