Epic Burger expands in Windy City

December 1, 2011

Epic Burger is launching two more restaurants in Chicago this December, giving the company a total of six locations in the Windy City. The fifth will be located in Streeterville, and the sixth will be located next to Bentley Gold Coast. While both restaurants will feature Epic’s signature color palette, Energy Star rated equipment, and non-petroleum-based packaging, some menu and design modifications will be made to better reflect their new communities.

The Gold Coast location will offer breakfast selections from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and will be serving its entire menu plus additional options such as the Epic Egg Sandwich, assorted pastries, and a full selection of Intellegentsia’s fresh-brewed coffee. Additionally, the Gold Coast location will have a mezzanine dining area that overlooks Pearson and Wabash streets for people watching.

Epic’s inaugural location opened in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood in May 2008. A second location launched in Lincoln Park in June 2010, while a third and fourth location opened in 2011.

With an active presence on key social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and Yelp, the owners listen intently to customer feedback to better the brand and to assist with important decisions like where to open new locations.

"Epic Burger has tripled in size this year alone, with the hopes of doing the same next year,” said owner David Friedman. “From the beginning, my intention was to raise people’s ‘food IQ’ by increasing awareness about what people eat on a daily basis. With the help of social media we can now speak directly to our customers, and vice versa."
