Einstein Noah opens first Einstein Bros. franchise location

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The first Einstein Bros. Bagels franchised location was opened April 17 by Jacksonville, Fla., entrepreneur Mohammed Chaudhry, owner of MC Squared Investments LLC. The new restaurant is the first franchise location under the Einstein Bros.' franchising program for Einstein Bros.' parent company, Einstein Noah Restaurant Group Inc.

Today's grand opening also marks the first of 10 locations that MC Squared Investments LLC plans to open throughout the Jacksonville area and is part of Chaudhry's 21-store agreement to open Einstein Bros. franchise locations throughout northern Florida.

To commemorate the Jacksonville grand opening, guests received a free cup of Darn Good Coffee and were offered menu specials April 18-19.

In addition to MC Squared Investments, LLC's 21-unit deal, Einstein Noah Restaurant Group has inked two multiunit franchise agreements scheduled to open a total of eight locations in the Augusta, Ga., Aiken, S.C. and northwest Arkansas markets in late 2008 and beyond.
