Eatsa names former Starbucks leader to CEO role

Restaurant tech provider, Eatsa, has named former Starbucks Chief Digital Officer Adam Brotman as its CEO. Tim Young, the chain's co-founder who had been servingt as CEO, is moving to the position of chief technology officer, a news release said. 

Brotman was most recently co-CEO, president and chief experience officer clothing retailer, J.Crew, where he launched the company's first loyalty program. Prior to that, he served in leadership at Starbucks, including stints as chief digital officer and executive vice president of Global Retail Operations.

"Adam brings an enormous amount of technology and restaurant industry expertise, with a deep understanding of how technology can truly transform operations and enable best-in-class customer engagement," Eatsa Executive Chairman Jon Shulkin, said in the release. "As eatsa continues to evolve and grow, Adam is the perfect fit to lead us on the path to becoming the definitive technology solution for the increasingly digitally driven restaurant industry. We are thrilled to welcome him to the eatsa team."

Eatsa said it plans to build out its ordering and loyalty offerings, for which Brotman will play an integral role.

"I have been impressed with the forward-thinking innovation from eatsa to date, and we will build on that as we create a world-class platform to fundamentally change the ability for all restaurants and retailers to be able to engage with their customers."

Eatsa provides software, hardware and data solutions to the restaurant industry that addresses customer engagement, ordering, fulfillment and pickup. Its clienits include Wow Bao, MAC'D, Evergreens and Deliveroo.
