EarthLink launches IT bundle for franchisees that 'lack financial resources'

EarthLink Holdings Corp., a managed network and cloud solutions provider for businesses and restaurants, announced the launch of a new bundled franchise solution at the 2015 Multi-Unit Restaurant Technology Conference. The turnkey solution, designed for franchisees with limited IT resources, enables data security, brand assets protection and consistency across the customer experience, according to the announcement.

The bundle of services includes PCI compliant IP VPN service with managed router and firewall, PCI assessment tools and assistance, and $100,000 of financial breach protection per location, the company said. It also features Secure Wi-Fi with rogue device detection and quarantine, a social media platform to connect guests to loyalty programs and drive a consistent customer experience, and an optional offer engine to generate increasing guest returns.

"Franchisors know that consistent execution and experience leads to higher customer loyalty and repeat business, but often lack the financial resources and technical savvy to tackle data security and brand protection across all locations," Vice President of Product Greg Griffiths said in a statement.
