Genghis Grill has tapped DTT, a provider of surveillance and video-based loss prevention solutions, to manage operations at 62 of its locations. Because of a successful pilot, Genghis will soon expand it to its franchise community, according to a company press release.
"Similar to our 'build your own bowl' concept at Genghis Grill, DTT allows us to select the combination of services that makes sense for our brand. POS integration was at the top of our list and DTT was able to deliver," said Chet Bhakata, CFO of Genghis Grill.
The chain signed up for DTT's SmartAudit service, which delivers reports bi-weekly that provide an overview of store operations and point out areas where improvement is needed.
"We operate a very large number of stores and so have thousands of employees. Those employees are really important to us and the audits allow us to properly train and retrain, praise good behavior, monitor productivity, manage cash integrity, ensure adherence to company policies, and much more," Bhakata said.
DTT's systems are designed with the operator in mind, and the MyDTT portal makes it easy for a large group like Genghis Grill to keep up with the business on a daily basis, said Tom Moran, EVP of Sales and Marketing for DTT.
