New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is expanding his Jimmy John's franchise in the city and surrounding area.
According to the The Times-Picayune, Brees became interested in the concept because he loved the product. He also had a friend working at the chain's corporate office who introduced Brees to Jimmy John's founder, Jimmy John Liautaud.
Brees is part of a franchise group that opened its first Jimmy John's in Metairie, La., in September. A second location is set to open in Elmwood at the end of July and a third location is planned for late October along the Maple Street commercial corridor.
