Delivery platform DoorDash is launching a gas rewards program to help drivers facing increasing prices at the gas pump.
The program, according to a CNN report, provides a 10% cash back on gas via a prepaid debit card for all U.S. drivers.
Drivers can earn cash back any time the card is used, even if they're not making deliveries. The cash back will remain in effect until through April, according to the news report.
"Over the last few weeks, prices at the pump have increased all across the world, and for Dashers who deliver by car, this economic reality presents unique and unprecedented challenges," the company said in a statement.
Competitors Lyft and Uber have implemented a temporary rider surcharge in response to the increasing gas prices for drivers.
In addition, DoorDash will pay drivers an extra $5 if they complete delivery orders totaling 100 miles in a week.
