Digital Dining offers direct Amex verification

SPRINGFIELD, Va. — Digital Dining clients can now process online, high-speed payments using an integrated interface directly to American Express.
Earlier this year, Digital Dining became the first POS system for restaurants to offer direct verification and deposit over American Express's new Web Services Internet Gateway. The capability allowed Mark Lindsay's Rock & Roll Café to save five to twenty cents per American Express transaction as a result of direct processing, according to a news release.
Additionally, American Express promoted the restaurant's opening by offering a $25 rebate for anyone who ate and paid with their American Express card.
