Dickey's will open restaurants in California, Nebraska, Washington

Dickey's Barbecue Pit announced today it will open three new restaurants on July 17, in California, Nebraska and Washington.

Veronica and Miguel Ruiz will open a Dickey's Barbecue at 2469 Naglee Road in Tracy, Calif.

The first 50 guests will receive gift cards worth up to $50. On July 18, Roland Dickey, chairman of Dickey's Barbecue Pit, will hand out free autographed copies of his cookbook and radio station Kat Country 103 will be onsite. The restaurant will offer pulled pork barbecue sandwiches for $2. A drawing will be held for a $500 gift card and three chances at free barbecue for a year.

On July 19, America's Got Talent contestant Marty Brown will perform from 5 to 8 p.m. The day will also include all day merchandise giveaways.

"Our goal has always been to one day open our own restaurant where we served great food and treated our customers like family. When we discovered Dickey's Barbecue Pit, we knew it was a great fit," said Veronica Ruiz in a company press release.

A second Dickey's Barbecue Pit will open on July 17 at 4102 Twin Creek Drive, Suite 116 in Bellvue, Neb.

"Nebraska is a great market for barbecue and in Bellevue we don't have many options, which is a shame because everyone here loves barbecue," said Brandon Kosek, owner, in a company press release. "I'm especially excited about Bellevue being close to the Offutt Air Force Base and look forward to serving our armed forces some great barbecue."

The new location will offer a $50 gift card to the first 50 dine-in guests.

On July 18, radio station KAT 103.7 will be onsite from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This location will be serving $2 pulled pork barbecue sandwiches. The restaurant will hold drawings for a $500 gift card and three chances at free barbecue for an entire year. On July 19, the new Dickey's Barbecue Pit will offer all day merchandise giveaways.

A third location will open on July 17 at 1800 Mile Hill Drive, Suite 160 and 170 in Port Orchard, Wash., under the ownership of Thomas Driver.

The first 50 guests will receive gift cards worth up to $50. Also, on July 18, Dickey's Barbecue Pit will offer all day merchandise giveaways, and on July 19, radio station 94.1 KMPS will be on-site and Pulled pork sandwiches will be offered for $2 each from from noon to 2 p.m.  A winner will be chosen for a $500 gift card, and two winners will receive free barbecue for a year.

Driver has four more Dickey's Barbecue Pit locations planned for the Kitsap Peninsula area.
