Dickey's Barbecue Pit is bringing its slow-smoked meats to Brazil, opening this month in Sao Paulo, the country's largest city with a population of 12 million.

Owner Operators Bruno Gallucci and Cyro Pires Xavier, who have over a decade of experience in restaurant operations and agricultural productions, have full franchising rights for Brazil and will open a total of 110 locations across the country.

"We are very excited to show the people of Brazil the wonderful Texas Barbecue, this is unlike anything they have tried before," Gallucci said in a company press release. "We are located in the heart of the city with plenty of foot traffic and many businesses."

The Sao Paulo location was expected to open a year ago but was postponed due to COVID-19, so the owners are excited to finally open the doors to the multi-story location, which has a roof top bar.

"We put so much effort into our flagship location we are really looking forward to showing it off and of course enjoying the delicious barbecue," Gallucci said.

Texas-based Dickey's Barbecue has over 500 locations.
