Dickey's opening locations in Alabama, Texas

Dickey's Barbecue Pit announced the opening of two new restaurants in Alabama and Texas.

Dickey's Barbecue Pit has announced the opening two new restaurants in Alabama and Texas on Aug. 21.

Joseph Vongsombath will open a Dickey's location at 2202 Live Oak near Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas.  Vongsombath owns 12 other Dickey's Barbeque Pit locations throughout Texas and Oklahoma.

"We believe the Dickey's Barbecue brand will be a great fit in Commerce, especially with Texas A&M Commerce so close," said multi-unit franchise owner, Joseph Vongsombath. "We're looking forward to catering our delicious barbecue at local events in the Commerce community and at student events."

Larry Hoffmeister will open a Dickey's Barbecue Pit at 6886 Governors W, Suite 112 in Huntsville, Ala.

"When I first experienced Dickey's Barbecue Pit, I knew it was a great franchise opportunity and that the people of Huntsville would love it," said first time franchise owner, Larry Hoffmeister. "This is the perfect location because we're near the second-largest research park in the U.S., Cummings Research Park with over 500 corporate centers and the University of Alabama in Huntsville."
