Dickey's continues Wisconsin expansion plan

July 31, 2012

Dickey's Barbecue Pit is continuing with its Wisconsin growth plan through its partnership with franchisee Bill Zimmerman. There are currently three open locations in the state and Zimmerman's new deal with the company will increase that number to five. His first location is set to open in Kenosha in mid-to-late September.

Zimmerman spent 22 years in sales and management for a national truck leasing company. He lives in Union Grove with his wife and children.

"Dickey's has a passion for great BBQ" Zimmerman said. "They train their franchise owners to not only understand the business part of owning a franchise, but the true art of great hickory smoked BBQ."

Dickey's Barbecue Pit launched in 1941 and added more than 67 stores in 2011. The company is planning to add 100 new locations nationwide in 2012 and will be opening its Green Bay location within the next week.
