Dickey's continues NY expansion

Rochester, N.Y., will soon behome to the fourth Dickey’s Barbecue Pit under the direction of Paul Develder and Brant Riggs.

"The barbecue concept is new to New York and we are excited to bring Dickey's Barbecue to Rochester," said Develder, who will own and operate the new location. "I like the challenges and rewards of the restaurant business."

The restaurant remains anchored in Texas, where the first location opened in 1941.

"We are excited about expanding in New York and to the people of Rochester," said Roland Dickey Jr., president of Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants Inc. "This is a great time to be a part of the Dickey's brand."

There are 174 locations in 35 states, but that number is expected to hit 200 stores by the year's end.
