Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is heating up its expansion in the San Francisco Bay area. The barbecue chain currently has six Bay area stores and is searching for multiple new spaces.
“The Bay area has really been a phenomenal growth area for our chain,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., president of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants Inc. “We look forward to continued momentum – bringing more of our great barbecue to the area.”
Dickey’s Barbecue added more than 66 stores last year and is planning to add 100 new locations nationwide in 2012. The fast casual restaurant chain just signed on four new franchise owners and is looking for new sites in the Bay area.
“We have had a great response to our Bay area locations,” said Jimmy Lu, Dickey’s franchise owner who owns stores in both Fremont and San Jose. “The feedback has been incredible.”
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit opened its first location in Dallas in 1941 and began franchising in 1994. Dickey’s has more than 200 locations in 36 states nationwide.
