Dickey's Barbecue Pit, which has been experiencing aggressive growth in the past year, will celebrate its first location in the Los Angeles market with a grand opening event Sept. 21 in Northridge, Calif.
For the event, the first 200 customers will receive a free bottle of Dickey's signature barbecue sauce and, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Dickey's pulled pork big barbecue sandwiches will be sold for $1.
"We're excited to celebrate with our local community," said franchise owner Todd Schwartz. "I'm pleased to bring the unique flavors of authentic Texas pit smoked barbecue to the area, and the neighborhood has greeted us with a tremendous welcome."
Dickey's has 20 locations open in California with plans to open eight more this year including Temecula, San Ramon, Bakersfield, Carmichael, Sacramento, San Bruno, San Jose and Ventura.
