Dickey's adds locations in Louisiana

Dickey's Barbecue Pit has a location in Houma, La., and a new location slated to open in Shreveport later this year. In addition, they have tapped industry veteran Justin Harris as area developer to scout sites in Bossier City, Mandeville, Lafayette and Lake Charles.

"Dickey's Barbecue has tremendous growth potential in Louisiana," said Roland Dickey, Jr., president of Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. "We've seen so much interest and there are many great sites available for potential franchise owners."

Dickey's Barbecue added more than 67 stores last year and is planning to add 100 new locations nationwide in 2012.

"It's an exciting time to be part of Dickey's Barbecue," said Justin Harris, Dickey's area developer. "We serve slow smoked, down home food in a fast, casual atmosphere and folks have really embraced us in Louisiana. We also offer a great catering option that has been a big part of growth."
